Better Lithium-Ion Batteries Are On the Way

Scientists at UC Berkeley have discovered a new, polyfluorene-based conducting polymer that may lead to the use of silicon within lithium-ion batteries, which could mean low-cost batteries with 10 times the amount of energy storage.
