Director's Note:

Dear Institute Students, Faculty, Staff, Partners & Supporters,
 
I hope you all remain healthy and safe during these trying times. I want to take this chance to address the status of Institute operations and thank all who have kept us afloat. As UCSB has halted all non-essential research and closed its campus, staff continues to work remotely at full capacity while students and researchers keep our projects advancing to the best of their abilities. Progress on Henley Hall continues with 85% of construction complete. The south terracotta umbra is complete with the terracotta baguettes now being installed on the east facade. Interior paint, electrical, lighting, comm cabling, doors and elevator work are ongoing and while there may be some slight delay, we still expect occupancy by the start of Fall quarter. My sincerest thanks to all for your continued hard work and dedication to our Institute's important mission.
