Institute for Energy Efficiency Announces 2018-2019 Peter J. Frenkel Foundation Fellows
The Institute for Energy Efficiency announced this year’s Peter J. Frenkel Foundation fellows. This award is made possible through the generous support of The Peter J. Frenkel Foundation and is granted to two advanced doctoral candidates in recognition of their outstanding research contributions to the field of energy efficiency.
Introducing the 2018-2019 Peter J. Frenkel Foundation Fellows:
Chen Shang
Electronics & Photonics Solutions Group
Chen Shang is a PhD candidate in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department. His dissertation focuses on highly reliable and efficieny quantum dot laser on (001) Si and is being completed under the supervision of Professor John Bowers.
Nevena Golubovic
Computing Solutions Group
Nevena Golubovic is a PhD candidate in the Computer Science Department. Her dissertation involves tailoring cloud computing and IoT to agricultural processes and is being completed under the supervision of Professors Chandra Krintz and Rich Wolski.
