Jonathan Balkind


Operating Systems and Distributed Systems, Algorithms and Architectures, Programming Languages and Software Engineering. Balkind's research focuses on the overlap between computer architecture, programming languages, and operating systems. He pursues pragmatic research that requires building real systems which touch on all three areas, like the 25-core Piton chip.

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at UC Santa Barbara. My research focuses on the overlap between Computer Architecture, Programming Languages, and Operating Systems.
