Biography

Zheng Zhang  (M'15) has been an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering with the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB), since July 2017. He received his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA, in 2015, M.Phil from the University of Hong Kong in 2010, and B. Eng from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2008. His industrial experiences include Coventor Inc., Cambridge, MA, and Maxim-IC, Colorado Springs, CO, USA; academic visiting experiences include the University of California at San Diego, Brown University, and Politechnico di Milano, Milan, Italy; government laboratory experiences include the Argonne National Laboratory, Lemont, IL, USA.  His research interests include uncertainty quantification and tensor computation with multi-domain applications including CAD of nano-scale IC/MEMS/photonics, data analytics, machine learning and autonomous systems.
