IEE Introduces New Apprentice Researchers Program for High School Students
The Institute for Energy Efficiency Apprentice Researchers Program is hosted at the University of California, Santa Barbara, by the Center for Science and Engineering Partnerships (CSEP) at the California Nanosystems Institute (CNSI).
In this program, high school students have the opportunity to do hands-on scientific investigations in a dynamic research environment, and to learn to give effective oral presentations on their findings. The students chosen for the program work with graduate student researchers in UCSB science and engineering laboratories, gaining first-hand experience in how science research is conducted. They will also gain experience in preparing and presenting talks to disseminate their research findings.
2019 Program Dates: June 24 - August 1, 2019 (six weeks)
Applications Due: March 31st | 11:59pm
