Cheaper LED Lightbulbs Are on the Way

LEDs are significantly more energy efficient and last longer than incandescent bulbs and compact fluorescents, but LEDs' upfront cost deters many buyers. A leading LED maker, Osram Opto Semiconductors, says it can significantly reduce the cost of LEDs.
