Seminar Series

Seminar Series example

During each academic year at UCSB, the Institute for Energy Efficiency hosts a weekly seminar series, which is open to the public. Our seminars bring industry leaders and faculty to UCSB to give technical presentations, followed by Q&A with our faculty and students.

Some of our recent speakers have included Holger Schmidt, Associate Dean for Research, College of Enegineering at UC Santa Cruz; Kei May Lau, Professor of Enegineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST); Randy Giles, Chief Scientist, Center for Advancement of Science in Space; and Connie Chang-Hasnain, Associate Dean for Strategic Alliances, College of Engineering at UC Berkeley.

We invite Institute faculty to nominate future seminar speakers. Please send your nominations to
