A new LED bulb technology by Switch fills the bulb dome with a nontoxic liquid to draw heat away from the LEDs housed inside. The bulbs will sell for one-third to one-half the cost of existing high-end LED bulbs.

Reversible logic could cut the energy wasted by computers in the form of dissipated heat to zero. The concept is currently theoretical, but may become possible as quantum processes begin to play a larger part in computation.

Cogenra Solar's hybrid solar cell
Cogenra Solar has developed a hybrid solar array that produces electricity and uses waste heat to provide hot water. The company says it has a solution for the overheating problems that have stymied this type of hybrid solar in the past, and they also believe they can achieve reasonable efficiency.
