Ford announced that it intends on its electric fleet to be smart grid compatible. This means that when an electric vehicle is plugged into the wall, it can charge faster when electricity is cheap and slow down charging or sell back electricity during peak demand times.

Ford Focus Electric.
The Ford Focus Electric, due out next year in the U.S., will contain a lithium-ion battery pack with a liquid-based thermal management system that Ford claims will maximize the battery's efficiency and range, as well as elongate overall battery life.
