The spice and seasoning company now generates more energy than it consumes. McCormick & Company built a solar array, and it reduced its energy consumption by installing many building upgrades. The company added energy efficient lighting and a HVAC system, among others.

Microsoft announced today that it has combined its Hohm Web home energy-efficiency application with the PowerCost electricity monitor. Using a broadband internet connection, consumers can then monitor their home electricity consumption from the web or from the tabletop electricity monitor.
