US Army prototype of a flexible display worn on the wrist
The U.S. Army is evaluating full-color flexible displays that can be worn on the wrist. The prototypes are built on foil-backed amorphous silicon electronics and use efficient organic light-emitting diode materials that consume one-fourth the power of a conventional OLED.

Researchers at the University of Toronto have figured out how to make the process of spray on solar cells both cheap and fast. Light-sensitive dots, so tiny they're invisible to the eye, can be sprayed onto a flexible film and then wrapped on anything with access to sunlight.
