Shayle Kann is the Managing Director of the GTM Research solar practice. He has spoken about the U.S. and global PV markets in conferences around the world and been cited in publications such as The Economist, Forbes, Bloomberg, Reuters, Fast Company, and more. Mr. Kann joined GTM Research upon returning from Australia, where he was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar with the Centre for Sustainable Energy Systems. His Fulbright research, which focused on renewable energy project finance during the credit crisis, was published in the international journal Energy Policy. Prior to this, Mr. Kann worked in the Clean Energy Markets division of Conservation Services Group, focusing on voluntary and compliance markets for renewable energy certificates. He has a Bachelor’s cum laude, phi beta kappa from Pomona College.
