As Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Innovation for Cisco’s Connected Energy Group, Paul leadsdevelopment of the global business architecture for Connected Energy.  He also drives Cisco’s utility and energy sector policy, standards and intellectual property rights portfolio; research & development; and evaluates key technology investments and acquisitions, with the goal of accelerating Cisco's market entry and expansion across its portfolio of connected energy solutions for the grid, businesses, and homes.

Paul has received several awards for his contributions toward the transformation of the electric industry. He is a frequent speaker and has authored several papers and articles and provided legislative and regulatory testimony.  He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California, a BS from the University of San Francisco and completed the technology management program at the California Institute of Technology. Paul is currently a Fellow of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
