Summit Speaker: P.K. Kapadia
Director of Business Development & National Accounts, Lime Energy
Pradeep (PK) Kapadia is Director of Business Development for Lime Energy (NASDAQ: LIME). Mr. Kapadia ran his energy engineering company, Kapadia Energy Services, for 26 years before merging it with Lime Energy in 2006. Lime Energy has over 350 employees in 15 regional offices throughout the US, and provides energy efficiency solutions to private companies and public institutions in 48 US states and abroad. To date, Lime Energy has performed over 1 billion square feet of energy audits and has implemented energy efficiency measures at over 400 million square feet of office buildings, manufacturing plants, retail stores, educational institutions, hospitals, warehouses and governmental facilities.
Mr. Kapadia holds a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and has spent his entire 30-year career in energy conservation and management. His energy projects have been as diverse as using waste heat from a cogeneration plant to desalinate seawater in the US Virgin Islands to performing a feasibility study and securing incentives for a solar concentrator farm to heat edible oil for snack foods in California, which was commissioned on Earth Day, 2008. His more routine energy projects include ‘e-Commissioning’ or fine-tuning large buildings for energy efficiency, performing manufacturing plant process load analyses and writing master plans for combined supply-side and demand side management for large customers.
As Director of Business Development for Lime Energy, Mr. Kapadia is responsible for developing business for national accounts that include such clients as PepsiCo, Microsoft, Verizon, Bank of America and Lockheed Martin. Mr. Kapadia is a former commissioner for the County of Westchester (NY) Public Utility Service Agency, and a former member of the Steering Committee of the New York Energy Consumer’s Council. When not commuting between the various Lime Energy offices, Mr. Kapadia lives in Ojai, CA with his wife and two children.
