Summit Speaker: Nick Hodson


Principal, McKinsey & Co.

Nick Hodson is a Principal with McKinsey and Company based in the San Francisco office. Nick has over thirteen years of consulting experience concentrating on developing strategies and tactics for energy companies (oil companies, utilities etc).

In recent years, Nick has been focusing on climate change issues and has worked with a variety of clients on issues relating to climate change, carbon abatement and the resulting business opportunities.

Nick is a leader in McKinsey’s Clean Tech practice and is closely involved in the development of McKinsey’s broad-based knowledge investments in this area. He is a frequent speaker at Climate Change events.

Before entering consulting, Nick worked for Shell in the Upstream, focused on competitor acreage evaluation in the North Sea and for Mobil Oil Co Ltd where he worked in supply and distribution andrefinery scheduling and optimization. Nick won a scholarship at Oxford University where he read Geology and subsequently earned an MBA from INSEAD
