- In collaboration with Institute Director John Bowers, Intel has developed a prototype high-speed optical data link, which is integrated onto silicon. The Silicon Photonics Link supports data transfers at rates of up to 50Gbps, a speed Intel compared to transmitting an entire HD movie every second.Jul 28 2010
