Campaign Goals

Jeff and Judy Henley’s transformative lead gift of $50 million for the Campaign for UC Santa Barbara sets the Institute and College of Engineering on a bold path to the future. Their $30 million investment in the Institute is intended to challenge our extended community to continue on that path by raising an additional $35 million in commitments.

PHASE I GOAL: $65 million

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Henley Hall, A New Home for the Institute: $50 million

A signature building, central to realizing our ambitious goals of labs, tools, shared work environment, classrooms, and public spaces that maximize our ability to translate research into practical solutions.

Faculty Recruitment and Retention and Student Support: $10 million

The quality of the University and the Institute and our ability to realize our vision is dependent on recruiting and retaining world-class faculty and graduate students.

Institute Operations and Programs: $5 million

An essential base of flexible funding enables us to seek and manage research grants and industry partnerships, as well as support a range of programs that promote an active dialogue on energy efficiency.
